Abe Lee Seminars’ Motto of “Knowledge is Potential Power” Applies to Both Education and Student Relationship Marketing
Signpost works with thousands of small and medium sized local businesses across the country that each have their own story. We will share them here on our blog. This post reviews the story of Abe Lee Seminars in Honolulu, HI.
Tell us a little bit about Abe Lee Seminars.
Abe Lee Seminars (ALS) has been teaching real estate professionals since 1980 and has taught thousands of realtors. With a master’s degree in education and part owner and practicing real estate agent of Shirokiya Residential Estates, Abe loves sharing his knowledge of the real estate industry. The few dozen 5-star Yelp reviews are proof of the engaging stories and valuable lessons shared during the variety of real estate courses.
How do you promote your courses?
Word of mouth has been tremendous for ALS as a way to fill live classes. As people talk to each other about the courses and our company it’s important they can find us online and our web presence reflects our quality and positive reputation. To be more proactive ALS has also launched special advertising campaigns with companies like Groupon and Yelp with varied results.
Lastly, local partnerships have been a good way for ALS to generate awareness and attract new students. The Hawaii Information Service promotes our school pre-license courses and continuing education courses. And we have agreements with Hilton Vacation Club and Wyndham timeshare companies to teach their new agents.
How does Signpost fit your marketing strategy?
Signpost has helped us to create, fix and update our business listings to be consistent and convincing wherever potential students look. Word of mouth is great, but we still need to turn those new people into actual students. Additionally, the agreement with Signpost has been one of the most effective among marketing approaches as you feature low-discount offers across directories and mobile apps which reaches both high quality students that are already searching and students that haven’t yet heard of us. By capturing the email address of any interested local students we can follow up as necessary and build a relationship. And finally, your reporting gives us the knowledge we need to know and power the relationships with our students.
At Signpost, one of our core values is “Signpost fights for small businesses”. How have you experienced this so far?
On the one hand the proof is the number of students that sign up for ALS classes. We have students signing up through Signpost which already makes my investment profitable. On the other hand it’s important to us that we get the service and attention necessary to have our company being promoted accurately and positive – the Signpost team has been able to do this without much involvement on our end.
